Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who are you guys?
We are a group of international functional safety practitioners where we have been working together over the past 10 years and putting together functional safety events, in addition to our core responsibilities. As a group, we have actively contributed to 100s of academic and industry symposiums. Some of us are involved with the ISO 26262 first draft and are currently actively involved in the US, German and UK activities. You can find our individual profiles in this page as an Organising Committee. You are welcome to contact us using the above contact details.
Q: Is it really Not-For-Profit?
Yes. We do this to bring the global community together with no financial incentive from our side. Any possible revenue leftover will be invested back in the community, most likely in the form of an academic funding related to functional safety. We will update you on this at a later stage.
Q: The tickets are really cheap. Is it really worth?
Definitely. You will get a Class A experience, what you are expecting from professionally organized events. Our generous business partners have helped us cover the majority of the costs associated with the production of this event. Your ticket price covers the remaining portion of our expenses. Again, we want to keep this as open as possible, if you come from academia or require a sponsored ticket, please get in touch and we will find something for you.
Q: Who are your speakers?
The speakers are a combination of experts from across the value chain, from car makers, tier 1 and semiconductor companies as well as notable service providers. We have put the program together as a combination of papers submitted to our call for abstracts as well as invitations to our network from the ISO 26262 working groups. You will have the opportunity to interact with our speakers Live.
Q: Anything I need to know for participating to this event?
Be ready to participate! We are looking for active participants, and there will be times where you will have to have your video on. If you haven’t done so already, familiarize yourself with Zoom. And don’t forget – there are no stupid questions when it comes to ISO 26262. There are no ultimate know-it-all experts and if you think your question will help you progress in your work, then go for it!
